What is the Global Somali Entrepreneurs Forum?
The Global Somali Entrepreneurs Forum (GSEF) is a global platform dedicated to advancing Somali entrepreneurship. Through an annual summit, a growing membership network, training and capacity-building programs, and strategic partnerships, GSEF connects entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, institutions, and development partners to drive collaboration, innovation, and economic growth across Somalia and the diaspora.
When and where will GSEF 2026 take place?
GSEF 2026 will be held on October 24–25 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The two-day programme features keynote addresses, panel discussions, deal rooms, policy labs, and extensive networking opportunities.
How can I attend GSEF 2026?
Tickets for GSEF 2026 are available through the Register page. Early-bird and group discounts are offered for members of the GSEF community. If you require an invitation letter for visa purposes, please contact our team after registering.
What is GSEF membership and how do I join?
GSEF membership is a year-round community connecting Somali entrepreneurs, professionals, businesses, and institutions. Members gain access to exclusive events, investor introductions, networking opportunities, training programs, and ecosystem resources. You can apply for Individual, Corporate, or Institutional membership through the Membership section of our website.
What types of membership are available?
GSEF offers three membership tiers. Individual membership is designed for entrepreneurs, professionals, and students. Corporate membership is for businesses seeking ecosystem visibility and talent connections. Institutional membership is for universities, development organisations, and government entities that want to partner strategically with GSEF.
How can my organisation partner with or sponsor GSEF?
GSEF collaborates with institutional partners, corporate sponsors, and supporting organisations across multiple sectors. Partnership opportunities include summit sponsorship, programme co-creation, research collaboration, and year-round ecosystem engagement. Visit the Partners page to submit an expression of interest.
How can I speak or present at the GSEF summit?
Speaker applications for each edition open approximately six months before the event. GSEF selects speakers based on expertise, relevance to the year's theme, and representation across sectors and regions. To express interest, please contact our team with your proposed topic and biography.
What training programmes does GSEF offer?
GSEF runs training programmes focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, technology, and innovation — including masterclasses, workshops, and a Tech & AI Meetup series. Does GSEF operate outside of the annual summit?
Yes. GSEF is a year-round platform. Activities include chapter meetups across 12 cities worldwide, training and capacity-building sessions, mentorship programmes, investor introductions, policy dialogue, and ecosystem research. The annual summit is the flagship event, but the community is active 365 days a year.
