Welcome to the Global Somali Entrepreneurs Forum (“GSEF”). By using our website and services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the GSEF website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, members, and others who access or use our services.
2. Use of Services
You may use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use our services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations, to transmit any harmful or disruptive content, to impersonate any person or entity, or to collect or store personal data about other users without their consent.
3. Membership
GSEF membership is available to individuals and organizations committed to advancing Somali entrepreneurship. Members agree to uphold the values and standards of the GSEF community. Membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. GSEF reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for violation of these Terms or community standards.
4. Event Registration
When registering for GSEF events, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. Event registrations are subject to availability. Cancellation and refund policies vary by event and will be communicated at the time of registration. GSEF reserves the right to cancel or modify events due to circumstances beyond our control.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the GSEF website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of GSEF or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on our website without our express written permission.
6. User Content
If you submit content to GSEF platforms — including testimonials, social media posts tagging GSEF, or event-related content — you grant GSEF a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with our services and marketing activities.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. GSEF does not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GSEF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to GSEF in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on our website and updating the effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
